Spiritual Life
At Santiam Christian we offer many opportunities for our students to grow in their relationship with God. Spiritual Life permeates everything we do at Santiam Christian as we partner with parents in the Christian upbringing of their children. Check out some different ways we cultivate our communities spiritual life below.
-
Starting in Preschool through High School, all students have Bible classes that present the gospel and communicate God’s truth.

Knowing that it is important to come together in community to praise and learn about the Lord, we have weekly chapels for both our elementary and secondary schools. With worship times led by our students, we come together to pray, worship, and apply Christian principles. Speakers at chapels are from our staff as well as local pastors, alumni, and guest speakers.

Our campus wide Character Ed program is designed for families to use at home as we partner with parents in developing a Christian worldview.
At the secondary level we provide opportunities for students to grow in their Christian faith through strong relationships with their teachers and peers. We kick the year off with an off campus Retreat and later in the winter we have a Spiritual Emphasis Week. Also to help build trusting relationships, each secondary student is part of a small group led by teachers that meets after chapel each week. This is a time to share prayer requests and apply the lessons learned in chapel. Additionally, our athletics program includes prayer and devotions at practices.

Believing that lasting Christian faith comes from our experiences in serving, we have bi-annual serve days in the community and offer annual mission trips. Our sixth grade heads up our annual Christmas shoebox drive and our senior class spends time each month mentoring students in the elementary school. Additionally, our National Honor Society emphasizes Christ-like servant leadership.
